Deadline extended to submit energy-related posters for Appalachian Energy Summit contest

As part of the 2015 Appalachian Energy Summit, scheduled for July 13-15 on the campus of Appalachian State University, the Appalachian Energy Center will host a student poster contest, and the deadline for submissions has been extended to May 22.

Students may submit an abstract on energy-related research or project to participate in the summit, providing a unique opportunity for selected students to showcase their achievements and research relating to energy.

Students from all disciplines and majors are welcome to submit a poster and compete for the top prize of $400. Selected students will earn unprecedented access to business partners and sponsors from across the Southeast during the event as well as free room and board, $50 travel stipend and t-shirt. All participants must be enrolled in a North Carolina university during the Spring Semester 2015. More information about the poster submission process.

Students not submitting posters may also participate in the Energy Summit with no cost to attend. Register online or contact Jack Terrell with questions.
