Scholarships open to WCOB juniors and seniors which carry specific requirements

George G. Beasley Family Business & Broadcasting Scholarship
Requirements:

• Patrick County, Virginia & Surry County & Mount Airy, NC residents given preference
• Financial aid form must be on file

Beroth Oil/4 Brothers Endowed Scholarship 
Requirements:

• 2.5 minimum GPA
• Alleghany, Davie, Forsyth, Iredell, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes, & Yadkin County residents given preference

Best Friends Endowed Scholarship 
Requirements:

• One page essay required describing applicant and best friend. Email essay to Scholarship Coordinator Lynn Compagnone, compagnonelm@appstate.edu

Paul & Melissa Brown Endowed Scholarship for Business & Education 
Requirements:

• 3.25 Minimum GPA

Carroll Leather Goods Endowed Scholarship
Requirements:

• 2.5 Minimum GPA
• Special consideration will be given to any applicant from the Grandfather Home for Children

Major Charles L. Cronkrite US Marine Corps Endowed Scholarship
Requirements:

• Must be a son or daughter of active or retired United States military personnel
• Have been selected for the Holland Fellows Program for Business Study in Asia

Everett & Cornelia McConnell Endowed Scholarship
Requirements:

• 2.5 Minimum GPA
• Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, McDowell, Mitchell, Watauga or Wilkes Counties students given preference

John Quincy McDonald Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Requirements:

• 3.0 Minimum GPA

Tom & Virginia Moseley Endowed Scholarship
Requirements:

• 3.25 minimum GPA

Joe & Laura Pearson Endowed Scholarship
Requirements:

• Wilkes County residents given preference

W. Fred & Eva C. Poovey endowed Scholarship
Requirements:

• Catawba County residents given preference

Tamara McSwain Singletary Endowed Scholarship 
Requirements:

• 3.0 Minimum GPA
• Stanly, Anson, Davidson, Montgomery, Randolph, Richmond, Rowan & Randolph County residents given preference

R. Stan Wilkinson Annual Scholarship for Business 
Requirements:

• 3.25 Minimum GPA

Thomas Irvin Parks Memorial Endowed Scholarship
