Dr. Dinesh Dave is a Professor and Acting Chair in the Department of Computer Information Systems and Supply Chain Management. Dave holds a Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma, and his teaching, research, and consulting activities have been in production and operations management, quantitative methods and techniques, business statistics, and information technology.
Risk Management and Insurance Professor Karen Epermanis is director of the Brantley Risk and Insurance Center at Appalachian, serves as vice president for the Western Risk and Insurance Association and is Past President of the Southern Risk and Insurance Association.
In addition to serving as Assistant to the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and Research, Donna Lindabury manages the MBA assistantship and scholarship programs, supports various research initiatives, and is the administrator of the college’s professional education program.
Dawn Medlin is a Professor in the Department of Computer Information Systems and Supply Chain Management. She also serves as director for the College of Business Honors Program. Her teaching, research, and consulting activities have primarily been in the areas of security, health care information systems, webpage development and design, and the interaction between computers and people.
Ken White performs client and program development for the professional education program. White retired from a distinguished career with Mack Trucks and serves on our graduate faculty teaching in the Boone and Hickory MBA programs.
Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and Research Sandy Vannoy directs the college's professional education program. Vannoy began her career at Appalachian as a lecturer in 1998 and was promoted to assistant professor in 2010 after earning her doctorate in information systems from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She was named assistant dean for graduate programs and research in 2014 and was promoted to associate professor and associate dean in 2015. Prior to her career in academia, Vannoy owned a small software development company and held administrative positions in the healthcare and banking fields.
