Sustainable Business Engagement and Outreach

Business for Good

The Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University is committed to advancing sustainable business practices that promote responsible management of economic, social, and natural resources. Each year, the college hosts Business for Good, an educational summit for faculty and invited guests to learn why sustainable business matters to us all.

Global Opportunities Conference

Each year, the college hosts the Global Opportunities Conference. The 2017 conference Balancing People, Planet, & Profit highlighted the importance of sustainable practices in the Brazilian Amazon while raising the broader question of how business can balance the triple bottom line of people, planet, and profit in environments throughout the globe.
