Our graduates consistently indicate that their study abroad experiences enhanced their overall education. Whether they traveled to England, France, Scandinavia, Germany, Australia, Denmark, China, or another country, international travel provided them with fond memories and with a richer understanding of business and the world.
The reality, however, is that many of our students simply cannot afford these important international experiences. We do have a small number of scholarships for student travel, including some scholarships that are funded entirely by faculty donations. However, there are literally hundreds of students who could participate. We need your assistance to allow students to participate in life-changing study abroad experiences.
Your contribution will allow us to enhance the international education that we offer our students. Also, you may be aware that we established an International Business (IB) major in 2002. Each IB student is required to be abroad for the equivalent of a semester in either a study abroad or international internship experience. The IB major has grown dramatically; 160 students are currently enrolled.
Please join the effort to assist students and make a gift or pledge to the International Scholarships Fund in the Walker College of Business. Pledges may be made over five years.
