Every choice has a consequence: Chuck Gallagher to speak Feb. 15

The Department of Accounting at Appalachian State University will host Chuck Gallagher '79, business ethics expert and authorfor a free talk on Thursday, February 15.

The 5:00 p.m. event will be held on App State's Boone campus in IG Greer Auditorium. The public is invited, and students of all majors are encouraged to attend.

Gallagher is a Walker College of Business alumnus, having earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from App State, and author of Second Chances: Transforming Adversity into Opportunity. He aims to help students navigate the intricate and ever-changing landscape of choices and consequences by discussing human behavior and ethical implications. Currently Vice President of a national public company and former senior vice president of sales and marketing for a public company, Gallagher attributes the "school of hard knocks" with providing the training ground for his lessons in success. In the middle of a rising career, Gallagher "lost everything" because he made some bad choices. He'll share his life journey, the consequences of his unethical choices, and how life gives you second chances when you make the right choices.
