Program participants will work with Polish students from Adam Mickiewicz University and explore the rich history of Poland and the resiliency of the Polish people. We will start with two nights in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. We will then travel to Poznan where Appalachian students will spend a week working with Polish students on a business-related project and interacting with the Polish students to better understand the Polish culture and the Polish people's perceptions of the European Union and Polish-US relations. Finally, we will travel to Krakow and visit historic Krakow, the Auschwitz and Berkenau concentration camps, and the Wieliczka Salt Mine, the only mining site in the world functioning continuously since the 12th century.
Open to MBA, Honors, and undergraduate students. All potential students must contact Dr. Harris for approval to sign up for the class.

Credit Hours: 3 sh. This course fulfills IB major/approved/required or other elective credit, HOS elective credit and COB or UL elective credit. The Global Issues Requirement is fulfilled by this program.
Cost: $2,900 – includes airfare, hotels, transportation, sightseeing, and some meals. Does not include summer tuition.
