BUS 3530: Business and Society in Brazil (3 s.h.) COURSE IS FULL
This course focuses on the economic development and business opportunities in the Amazon region of Brazil. Central to the course will be the discussion of the role of globalization and sustainability within the Brazilian social and economic context. A visit to Brazil will take place over spring break. Students will spend five days in Manaus, along the Amazon river, and the remainder of their time visiting and working with communities in the Brazilian Amazon basin.
The program fulfills three semester hours of IB major or approved electives, 3000-level HOS elective, and upper-level COB elective credit.
Cost: $2,950 , includes airfare, local transportation, housing, some meals and some tours. No additional cost for tuition if you are full-time in the spring.
