Admission
If you are a sophomore and meet the minimum requirements of 45 credit hours and a 3.40 GPA, you will receive an email invitation to complete the online application in the spring semester. If you think you meet the eligibility requirements but have not been invited to apply for the program by February 15, please contact Dr. Leon, leonsm@appstate.edu.
Once admitted, students will meet with the honors program director to discuss the honors program requirements and to schedule courses.
Materials
The online application requires:
- Curriculum vita (resume).
- Unofficial Appalachian State University transcript.
- At least two letters of recommendation (one from a professor, recommending you because of your academic performance, and one from someone unrelated to you (e.g. another professor, club advisor, minister, supervisor) attesting to your personal character.
