My favorite Walker College memory is…
Fresh out of High School, I entered Appalachian in the Fall of 1976. My first college class was Introduction to Business, in the first year that John A Walker Hall opened (If my memory is correct). I remember not being intimidated by the very large entry level class, but suddenly felt I belonged to an entirely new community. It was a great feeling and one that I still hold onto today.

My experience in the Walker College prepared me for my life and work…
I believe the experience prepared me for a successful business career that I just recently retired from. My business education was very broad based and as it turned out I was with the same business organization for 37 years, where I also had the opportunity to have a broad base of responsibilities over my career and I believe I was successfully prepared for after my Walker College education.
