My favorite Walker College memory is…
Jack Underdown as a professor. My plan in entering Walker College was to be able to expand the family real estate investment business. In taking real estate classes with Jack Underdown, he influenced my interest in the real estate appraisal business. He prepared his students for the business due to him continuing to work in that industry. His real life experience and friendship with his students, made his teaching more productive. He remained a friend, mentor and colleague until his passing in 2011. The close knit community of family, of Walker College and Appalachian as a whole, is something to be revelled and I am proud to be an alumnus.
