England - International Insurance Markets

Description

Travel to London is the experiential portion of the spring semester course, FIN 4800 International Insurance Markets. This course is designed to expose students to international business concepts with particular emphasis on the insurance industry. We will analyze the transfer of risk from typical U.S. organizations, through the insurance market mechanism, to ultimate risk bearers abroad. Admission to the course is highly competitive, involves an application process and is by permission of instructor only.

Course

FIN 4800 International Insurance Markets

Pre-requisites: 84 earned hours, FIN 3100 and a "C" or better in ENG 3100/BE 3340. Students who do not fulfill the hours requirement will not be able to take this course at the 4000-level and should notify the program leader before applying.

Credits (3 credit hours)

 Fulfills an RMI elective. Fulfills IB major/approved/required/other elective, HOS elective, COB or upper-level elective and fulfills the Global Issues requirement.

Cost

$500. Includes airfare, group activities and meals. No additional cost for tuition for full-time students.
