Program Description

Doing Business in Japan is a 10-day and 3-credit hour course.  This course focuses on developing students’ expertise in business and culture in Japan. Students will immerse themselves in local business and cultural environments throughout cultural activities (e.g., tea ceremony, archery, sumo wrestling, museum visits, and farewell party), class discussion with local instructors and students, and company visits. After course completion, students will have skills and  knowledge to succeed their future business in Japan. For more information, click here for program website.

BUS 3530 – Doing Business in Japan – 3 credits
MBA 5020 – International Seminar in Japan – credits

Credits

  • BUS 3530 -This 3 semester hour course can fulfill a COB upper-level or free elective, an International Business Major or Approved elective, an International Business minor Required  or Other elective and/or a Hospitality elective. This program also fulfills the Global Issues requirement.
  • MBA 5020 - This 3 semester hour course fulfills the international requirement for the MBA program and is an elective for the international business concentration.

Pre-reqs

3000-level Pre-reqs: 54 earned hours and good academic standing. Students who do not have the minimum hour requirement cannot take this course at the 3000-level and should inform the program leader of this situation before applying.

Costs

Billable Program Cost: $3,850 Includes: Airfare, In-country Program Transportation, Lodging, International Health and Evacuation Insurance, Program Events, Some Meals, and CCS Administrative Fee.

Estimated Additional Student Cost: $550  Estimated costs include but are not limited to: Immunizations, Personal Expenses, and Most Meals.

He is dedicated to growing students into future global business leaders in those countries via exciting, educational, and exhilarating study abroad learning experiences. Programs led by Dr. Chen offer students a rich study abroad experience that will last a lifetime.
