Description

Sustainable Business Practices in Amsterdam, focuses on the measurement and reporting of sustainable business practices and assurance services related to that reporting.  Students will meet with an accounting firm in Amsterdam who provides measurement and assurance services as well as visit various Amsterdam businesses, such as Heineken, to learn more regarding their sustainable business practices.  Students will take a canal tour of the city and visit various Amsterdam historical  and cultural sites including the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum.

Course(s):

  • BUS 3538 - International Experience in Sustainability Reporting (3 semester hours)
  • or
  • MBA 5020 - International Experience in Sustainability Reporting (3 semester hours)

Pre-reqs: 60 earned hours for BUS 3538. Students who do not have the minimum hour requirement cannot take this course at the 3000-level and should inform the program leader of this situation before applying.

Credit: BUS 3538 fulfills an IB elective (major, approved, required or other), HOS elective, COB elective or upper-level elective and fulfills the Global Issues requirement.

Cost: $3894. Includes airfare, lodging, group activities and most meals.
