Explore the coast of Portugal in this service learning study abroad program. Enjoy the beach, explore Lisbon, and volunteer alongside locals to experience how social enterprises are doing good in Portugal.

ENT 3600 - Entrepreneurship Study Abroad (3 semester hours) Prerequisites: 54 earned hours

Credits

ENT 3600 - Entrepreneurship Study Abroad - This course counts as an IB elective (major, approved, required, or other), Entrepreneurship minor or major concentration elective, COB elective or upper level elective and fulfills the Global Issues requirement.

Costs

Program Cost: $3410

  • Program cost includes the non-refundable OIP fee.
  • Program cost includes airfare.
  • Program cost does not include tuition.
  • When students commit to the program (after their application is approved by both OIP and the program leaders), the non-refundable $300 OIP fee will be added to their account. The remaining cost of the program will be added to their account later on. The entire cost must be paid by 7 days before departure.

Leaders 

Dr. Jacqueline Tilton - Jacqueline Tilton is an Assistant Professor in the Management Department at Appalachian State University where she teaches Business Ethics. She earned her PhD from the University of Arkansas as the Frank & Donna Oldham Doctoral Fellow and was recognized as the 2019 Outstanding Graduate Student Teacher. Her research aims to understand and give voice to the disparate experiences of diverse employees and additionally discover the mechanisms that serve to mitigate or exacerbate organizational and societal inequality. In particular, much of her research focuses on economic diversity.
