TAIWAN - BUS 3533/SCM 3690 Doing Business in Taiwan (This program is FULL)

The program will focus on the complete supply chain “cradle to grave” within the context of the information technology (IT) industry. Working in coordination with major suppliers of many popular IT products (e.g. iPhone, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Wii, and Amazon’s Kindle Fire), student participants will explore the world of information technology. Students will learn to understand challenges and opportunities for global supply chain management for information technology products.

BELIZE - BUS 2536: Belize: A Glimpse of Culture and Issues (This program is FULL)

Program Description: During this program students will be traveling to Punta Gorda Belize. Students will spend one week fully immersed in the community and traditional culture of Belize. There will be a service learning aspect to this trip which will include working with local small business in Punta Gorda as well as working with local cacao farmers and chocolate manufacturers to experience hands on the supply chain involved in the country's largest export.

CAMBODIA/VIETNAM: MGT 3542: Entrepreneurship in Vietnam and Cambodia

Program Description: This two week program in Cambodia and Vietnam Highlights the importance of social entrepreneurship while  also considering the often overlooked examples of local innovation and ingenuity. Students will work with Wine to Water on a project in Cambodia. In Vietnam, students will stay in the charming town of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, representing a fusion of culture and an international commercial port near beautiful beaches.

JAPAN - BUS 3030: Doing Business in Japan

Program Description: The program focuses on developing students' expertise in business and culture is Asia in general and Japan in particular. Student participants will immerse themselves in local business and cultural environments through cultural activities (e.g. tea ceremony, archery, sumo wrestling, museum visits. After completion of the program, participants will have skills and knowledge to help them succeed in their future business endeavors in Japan.

POLAND - BUS 3548/HON 3515-146/MBA 5020 - Business in Poland (This program is FULL)

Program participants will work with Polish students from Adam Mickiewicz University and explore the rich history of Poland and the resiliency of the Polish people. We will start with two nights in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. We will then travel to Poznan where Appalachian students will spend a week working with Polish students on a business-related project and interacting with the Polish students to better understand the Polish culture and the Polish people's perceptions of the European Union and Polish-US relations.

FRANCE - Angers Summer Business Program

In this program, offered in collaboration with the Université d’Angers, students will take classes with Angers business students and learn international business skills, International Finance and International Brand Management in particular, while experiencing French culture and language. Excursions include visits to landmarks in Angers, the Loire Valley and Paris. The program starts and ends at the train station in Angers, France.

ECUADOR: HOS 3535 Ecotourism in the Galapagos

Program Description: This course incorporates class sessions on campus as well as a trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos archipelago in early June. The purpose of the course is to allow ASU students to observe first-hand the ecotourism management model applied by the Ecuadorian government at the Parque Nacional Galápagos. By the end of the program, students will identify and evaluate the main strengths and weaknesses of the model and suggest policy changes to
improve it.

Program Cost: $3,890. Summer tuition not included.

CUBA - BUS 3545: Business and Society in Cuba (3 s.h.)

Experience picturesque Havana and provincial Cuba during fall break. Attend lectures from renowned economists at the University of Havana. Observe firsthand the impact of recent economic reforms. COSTA RICA - SCM 3690: Coffee Supply Chain in Costa Rica/ MBA 5020: International Seminar on Costa Rica (3 sh)

The program will focus on the complete supply chain "seed to cup" within the context of the coffee industry. Working in coordination with a local business, Bald Guy Brew, we will explore the world of coffee. The goal is to go well beyond providing a contextual knowledge of a commodity-based supply chain by providing extensive opportunities for experiential learning.

Netherlands - Sustainable Business Practices in Amsterdam - UG/MBA

Sustainable Business Practices in Amsterdam, focuses on the measurement and reporting of sustainable business practices and assurance services related to that reporting.  Students will meet with an accounting firm in Amsterdam who provides measurement and assurance services as well as visit various Amsterdam businesses, such as Heineken, to learn more regarding their sustainable business practices.  Students will take a canal tour of the city and visit various Amsterdam historical  and cultural sites including the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum.
