The #WalkerAbroad Photo Contest
Think you have the photos to win it all? Share a glimpse of your experience abroad with us. We take submissions from faculty, staff, and student participants in WCOB faculty-led programs, semester abroad, or international internships.

Share a glimpse into your time abroad! Submit pictures representing your experience, the things you did, the people you met, or anything you think might make the cut.
Special consideration will be given to posts that highlight culture or natural beauty and/or feature you in Walker/App wear in the host country.
Submission Instructions
You are limited to no more than 4 photo submissions.
Please submit photos in .png or .jpg format (.png preferred).
The larger the dimensions, the better (1200 x 800 pixels is ideal)
In the comment, you must include your name, program of study/concentration or position at Appalachian, name of study abroad location/internship company & location.
Use a creative photo caption that includes photo location & description.
Prizes:
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive some Walker swag as well as the title of Walker Famous (your photo will be featured on the TV screens throughout the building as well as on the website.)
There will be a People’s Choice Award based on the sheer number of likes for each photo submitted.
The Fall 2023 competition winners will be announced at the Global Good Awards Luncheon in November.
Rules:
Any crude or rude material will be disqualified.

- We have postponed our photo competition until Fall of 2023, to give us all an opportunity to travel abroad and capture new images.
