AACSB International Accreditation

Appalachian State University is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. The scope of this business accreditation includes the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, the Master of Business Administration, the Master of Science in Accountancy, and the Master of Science in Applied Data Analytics. Earning AACSB accreditation signifies a business school’s commitment to strategic management, learner success, thought leadership, and societal impact.

Maintenance of AACSB Accreditation

The Walker College of Business has maintained AACSB accreditation continuously since 1976.  Maintaining AACSB Accreditation confirms a commitment to quality and continuous improvement through a rigorous and comprehensive peer review process that is conducted every five years. The Walker College of Business submits a comprehensive, five-year report to the AACSB organized around the themes of the business accreditation standards. SACSCOC Accreditation

Appalachian State University is also accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The Bachelor of Arts in Economics program is administered through the Walker College and accredited as part of the scope of the SACSCOC accreditation. The Master of Arts in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Human Resource Management (IOHRM) is a joint program offered between the Department of Management in the Walker College and the Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences. The Master of Arts in IOHRM program is administered by the College of Arts and Sciences and also accredited as part of the scope of the SACSCOC accreditation.
