Strongest growth company in the Triangle run by Walker alumnus

Steve NorwoodThe Triangle Business Journal this month released its Fast 50, which is described as "the region's fastest-growing privately held companies." Coming out on top is Consolidated Asset Recovery Systems Inc., which provides a complete suite of recovery and remarketing services throughout the US and Canada.

Walker College alumnus Steve Norwood '80 is the co-founder and CEO of Consolidated Asset Recovery Systems.

"We have a long history of growth and profitability," said CEO Steve Norwood. "Our financial stability in the industry makes us the partner of choice for many service providers such as repossession, skip trace, door knock and auction agents. We are extremely grateful to our employees, customers and partners for helping make us the number one company on this year's TBJ Fast 50 list."

This is the fourth year that Consolidated Asset Recovery Systems has appeared on the Fast 50 list, and the first year it has been ranked No. 1.

Steve NorwoodThe Fast 50 winners were selected and ranked based on a formula that counts revenue growth and profitability in the preceding three years (2012-2014). The numbers are crunched and analyzed by PricewaterhouseCoopers, a Fast 50 partner.

Walker College students recently had the opportunity to hear Norwood speak in person when he returned to campus to speak during the Nov. 13 Carole Moore McLeod Entrepreneur Summit, an event organized by the Transportation Insight Center for Entrepreneurship. He is a member of its advisory board.

Steve Norwood spoke with his son Tyler, a 2012 graduate of the Walker College, via Skype from Inda. Tyler Norwood is Global Business Development Manager at Global Fashion Group and previously served as a business development consultant for Consolidated Asset Recovery Systems.
