We are Walker Scholarship
The “We are Walker Scholarship” is awarded to outstanding first-year intended business majors from traditionally underrepresented populations. This scholarship reflects both the value placed on fostering a vibrant community with diverse perspectives, experiences, and ideas in the Walker College of Business, and the reality that, for students from underrepresented groups, the road to success often involves overcoming obstacles that others never experience.
Funded by faculty and staff in the Walker College of Business, the scholarship is awarded to courageous, pioneering students who have demonstrated leadership ability, academic achievement, and a commitment to create positive change.
Recipients of the “We are Walker Scholarship” will be awarded $1,000.00 renewable annually for an additional three years. Students will be considered for the “We Are Walker” Scholarship when they complete the scholarship application as part of their application for admission to the university.

First-year intended business majors from underrepresented populations, such as, but not limited to, students of color, Indigenous students, veterans, LGBTQ+ students, neuro and ability diverse students, and first-generation college students, are welcomed to apply. In the spirit of the scholarship’s inspiration in the Black Lives Matter movement, preference will be given to students of color. This scholarship requires applicants to follow the university's process for a signature scholarship and selective academic programs. Learn more or apply.
