Business Career Services, housed in Appalachian State University's Walker College of Business, will offer a professional development series for the Spring 2023 semester, among other services.
C2C: College to Careers is a weekly professional development workshop series. All business students are encouraged to attend. Each event will be offered virtually and will focus on career, professional and leadership development advice. Dates and topics are as follows.

Landing a Local Internship

Local internships can be hard to come by in Boone. However, there are some companies that have quality internship programs in place. This panel discussion will highlight some of those companies that have local internship programs for students to explore. The goal is to shine a light on those programs to inspire other companies to follow suit and inform students of what opportunities are in their backyard. This workshop is presented by the Association of Student Entrepreneurs, but is open to any student interested in attending.

Additionally, the Business Career Services Office is offering both virtual and in-person coaching appointments to students this spring. Students can make appointments through Handshake, by visiting our website, or can utilize drop-in sessions; see the schedule at businesscareers.appstate.edu.
Career Fairs and Events
Business Career Services will host Walker Spring Connect on March 9 in the Holmes Convocation Center for an in-person career fair from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Students can prepare and review attending companies in Handshake. The office will also host WinterFest Open House on January 26 in the Croom Student Services Center (Peacock Hall 2140). Drop in to meet career coaches and support staff and enjoy snow cones, hot chocolate, popcorn and games. Register for Walker Spring Connect and earn a spin on the "wonder wheel" for prizes big and small. All that attend will be entered into a drawing for a free lift ticket to Beech Ski Mountain.
