Walker College professor Dinesh Davè recently visited Nirma University in Ahmedabad, India and served as a panelist of the “Startup Ecosystem” panel during the NICOM International Conference.
Davè is the chair of the Department of Computer Information Systems & Supply Chain Management in the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University. At Appalachian, Davè has served as the director of supply chain, the director of the Center for Business Research and has held the Beroth Oil Four Brothers Professorship. His teaching and research activities have been in the areas of Supply Chain/Operations Management, Quantitative Methods & Techniques, Analytical Models, Business Statistics, Lean Six-Sigma Quality Management, and Information Technology.
During his time at Nirma University, Davè met with faculty, students and administrators to develop a professional association. He also met with faculty and administrators of the university and addressed the faculty on contemporary topics relating to teaching and research. Davè then met with faculty and administrators from the M. G. Science College in Ahmedabad where he addressed students on globalization and career opportunities in the areas of statistical methods and data analysis.
