Dr. Jacqui Bergman, a professor in the Department of Management, will serve as associate dean for governance and faculty success in the Walker College of Business, effective August 6.
"Dr. Bergman brings institutional knowledge, strategic insight, and a strong commitment to supporting others,” said Dean Sandra Vannoy. “Her leadership will strengthen college initiatives and advance faculty development and academic excellence."
About Jacqui Bergman
Bergman previously served as Department of Management chair from 2013 to 2018, as App State’s vice provost for faculty affairs from 2018-2021, and as faculty senate chair in 2024-25.
Bergman joined App State’s faculty as a visiting assistant professor in 2005 and was tenured and promoted to associate professor in 2012. She was promoted to full professor in July 2018.
Bergman’s research interests include group dynamics and team processes, leadership, social perception, and personality, with an emphasis on narcissism.
Bergman received her Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She holds an M.S. in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a B.A. in liberal arts from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
