Students from Appalachian State University attended the North Carolina Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference, held in Charlotte April 6-8, 2017.
The students, members of Appalachian's Phi Beta Lambda chapter, compteted with peers from universities across the state and performed well in many categories.
Jenny Zheng and Jordan Boyd earned first place in the Financial Analysis and Decision Making competition.
McKenzie Worley placed first in the Future Business Educator event.
Josh Conner placed second in Computer Concepts, and Collin Cornelius also earned the second spot in Marketing Analysis and Decision Making.
Madison Spurling placed fifth in the Job Interview category.
Jospeh Gray placed sixth in the Business Ethics event.
Finance & Banking and Risk Management & Insurance Sophomore and Chapter President Jenny Zheng placed seventh in Personal Finance.
"This conference is a great opportunity for students of the Walker College of Business to showcase their skills and compete with other colleges in North Carolina," said Zheng. "I'm thankful to our Executive Vice President, Madie Roach, for all the hard work and dedication she put into making this weekend a success."
