Center for Entrepreneurship to help App State researchers build entrepreneurial capacity

The Transportation Insight Center for Entrepreneurship in the Walker College of Business is partnering with Appalachian State University's Office of Research & Innovation to help faculty advance their research.

Accelerating Entrepreneurial Capacity

The nine-week Accelerating Entrepreneurial Capacity program will help participants transform innovative research into sustainable societal value. Participants meet in person for two hours each week for nine weeks and gain insights into market landscapes, business models, and commercialization pathways.

“The Center for Entrepreneurship supports App State researchers in translating their ideas into real-world impact by providing structured guidance, practical tools, and a space to explore how their work can reach beyond the university,” said Erich Schlenker, director of App State's entrepreneurship center, who will help lead the program.

Schlenker said outcomes for faculty may include licensing research to industry partners, applying for grant funding, and creating companies, among others.

Register

Interested App State faculty should register to participate by February 2.
