College of business to offer club expo during Appalachian's spring open house

Appalachian's Spring Open House will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016, and this semester, the Walker College of Business is piloting a club expo in conjunction with the university event.

Open House allows prospective students interested in Appalachian to gather more information and make an informed decision about whether they will apply to the university.

Walker College faculty members participate in the information at the Holmes Convocation Center, and Walker Fellows, the student ambassadorial group of the college of business, provide departmental tours in Peacock Hall. The combination effort provides opportunity to learn about the valuable programs and resources available to business majors, from both faculty and student perspectives.

There are more than 20 students clubs and organizations in the Walker College of Business, and many will be represented during the new club expo event in Peacock Hall this semester.

"Many prospective students may be unsure of what they want to major in," said Walker Fellow and expo organizer Alexa Smith. "We hope to provide information and answer questions about the ways they can get involved and make friends."

The Peacock Hall Open House will take place from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.  A shuttle will be running from Holmes Convocation Center to Peacock Lot Circle.
