College Factual names Appalachian’s hospitality and tourism management program a 2019 ‘Best for the Money’

Appalachian State University’s hospitality and tourism management program has been recognized as a “Best Value for the Money” in College Factual’s annual nationwide ranking of U.S. colleges and universities.

In College Factual’s “2019 Best Hospitality Management Colleges for the Money” list, the university’s program was ranked No. 16 out of 111 hospitality programs at higher education institutions across the nation, placing Appalachian’s program in the top 15 percent of all such programs in the country reviewed by College Factual.

Additionally, out of six North Carolina schools reviewed by College Factual, Appalachian received the No. 1 ranking, making its hospitality and tourism management program the best value in the state. Appalachian has achieved the No. 1 ranking for two consecutive years.

College Factual’s website states the “ranking takes into account the average yearly cost of the school, the average time students take to graduate and the quality the school provides to students.”
