Date set for 4th annual Safety Summit, CARE associate director to speak

The 4th Annual Appalachian Safety Summit is scheduled for May 1-2, 2018 on the campus of Appalachian State University.

Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 8:15 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Plemmons Student Union, Appalachian State University

The conference registration fee is $350/attendee (8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesday including lunch, and 8 a.m. - noon on Wednesday), the alumni rate is $275/attendee, the group (5+ attendees) conference registration fee is $275/attendee and post-conference workshops (May 2nd) are $250/attendee. Space will be limited to 12 participants per workshop.

Since 2015, the Appalachian Safety Summit Conference has educated and informed safety employees, teams and managers about the latest research in behavioral safety approaches to safety culture change. Attendees will walk away from the conference armed with the tools and strategies to help motivate employees to maintain safe behavior that ensures a more productive and safe workplace.

Bergman is Associate Director of CARE, a center engaging and utilizing the knowledge of our students, faculty and staff to help promote pro-social behavioral change within organizations and society. CARE is housed in the Walker College of Business.
