Embracing Unique Perspectives: Neurodiversity newsletter highlights Walker College faculty, student body

The Neurodivergent Students & Allies Club and the Graduate Student Government Association's Inclusion & Outreach Committee has launched a monthly newsletter, Neurodiversity Spotlight: Embracing Unique Perspectives.

Neurodiversity is more than just a concept; it's a celebration of the unique ways in which individuals experience and engage with the world around them. It embraces the idea that there are multiple, equally valid ways of thinking, learning, and interacting. Within the rich spectrum of neurodiversity, we find the beauty of diverse cognitive processes and abilities that are as unique as the individuals who possess them. It's essential to recognize that one person's mode of thinking and behaving may differ from another's, but this variation is not a measure of intelligence or character—it's a testament to the wondrous complexity of the human mind.

In the first issue of the newsletter, readers can learn about three App State students as well a professor.
