Appalachian State University students traveled to the Spencer Educational Foundation RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.) RISKWORLD Conference in Chicago May 4-7.
The students are Hrisha Bhatty, Mea Picone, Avin Patel, Tia Proctor, Jake Hartsell, and Austin Knowles. They are members of the university's Risk Challenge team.
Bhatty, a 2024 Spencer Scholar, said that "attending this global event alongside Lorilee Medders and a group of talented peers was an unforgettable experience."
The students were accompanied by Department of Finance, Banking & Insurance Chair Dr. Lori Medders.
