IOHRM master's degree program honored for student success

Appalachian State University's IOHRM Program, a Master of Arts in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Human Resource Management, is an interdisciplinary degree offered through the Departments of Psychology in the College of Arts & Sciences and Management in the Walker College of Business.

The IOHRM program won the inaugural Student Success Award during the College of Arts & Sciences 2024 awards ceremony, held on November 21.

The review committee noted, among other features, the program's strong mentoring program, alumni engagement, and student accomplishments in research, internships, and applied projects.

"Students' strong preparation for and success in the job market [is a] key feature that distinguishes the program," added IOHRM Program Director Tim Huelsman.

In addition to the interdisciplinary graduate program, the Walker College offers three graduate degrees in business—a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Applied Data Analytics.
