Walker College Sustainable Business Director Jim Westerman announced that the January 15 Sustainable Business Spring Meeting will feature Jen Maxwell, from Appalachian State University's Office of Sustainability. Maxwell will speak about a new sustainability certification program Friday, January 15, at 12:00 p.m. in Peacock Hall Room 3015.
Maxwell is Appalachian's Sustainability Program Specialist and integrates sustainability into the campus community through the creation of new programs and management of existing campus sustainability efforts. Maxwell, who serves as a campus resource, develops working relationships that enhance collaboration, is a founding member of the Appalachian State University Sustainability Council, an active member of the Purchasing and Waste and Housing and Dining subcommittees, and a founding member of ASU's Living Green Residential Learning Community.
