Jennifer Hayward has been named executive assistant to the dean in the Walker College of Business, effective July 24, 2023.
Hayward brings 20 years of experience in development and alumni relations from roles at Appalachian State and Emory Universities, most recently as development specialist in the Walker College.
The executive assistant role includes responsibilities around promotion and tenure, reappointments, donor stewardship, the Business Advisory Council, the dean's schedule, and executive committee business. The executive assistant works closely with the business officer on budgets, position management and meetings with the college's staff with regard to training and professional development opportunities.
Hayward holds a BA from the University of Florida in Gainesville Florida and earned the Walker College's Sywassink Outstanding Staff Award in 2022.
