Appalachian State University has announced its 2026 winners of App State’s 2026 UNC Board of Governors Excellence in Teaching Awards.
Dr. Justin Kent, assistant professor in App State’s Department of Management, is among the five selected for Appalachian State University School/College Awards.
Justin Kent
Kent joined the faculty in the Walker College of Business in 2020.
He was voted Most Helpful Faculty and Staff at Appalachian State University for the 2020–21 academic year.
Kent holds a doctorate in business administration from UNC-Chapel Hill.
App State 2026 Awardees
In addition to Kent, other App State School/College awardees are: Dr. Rebecca Kappus, Dr. Jason Lynch, Dr. Savannah Paige Murray and Dr. Mark Nunes.
Dr. Pablo Chialvo was selected as the Appalachian State University Excellence in Teaching Awardee, and Dr. Elizabeth Shay was selected for a 2026 University of North Carolina Board of Governors Excellence in Teaching Award.
