"Understanding Collaborative Consumption", a new book edited by Appalachian State University Professors Pia A. Albinsson and Stephanie J. Lawson, along with their colleague B. Yasanthi Perera of Brock University in Canada, is now available from Edward Elgar Publishing.
Understanding Collaborative Consumption
Collaborative consumption, or the shared use of goods and services like Uber and Airbnb, has grown rapidly in recent years.
"This dynamic book explores the importance of collaborative consumption, which is particularly relevant at a time when the sharing economy has established itself as part of the mainstream market. Nearly 40 expert scholars across the globe go beyond the existing literature to investigate understudied community efforts and spaces, including innovative topics such as hand-me-downs and coworking."
