Marketing students place tenth out of 70 universities during the International Collegiate Sales Competition (ICSC) in Orlando, Florida.

Marketing students from Appalachian State University have placed tenth out of 70 universities in the the International Collegiate Sales Competition (ICSC).

The ICSC took place November 2-5, 2016 in Orlando, Florida.

The students participated in the "Role-play" and "Sales Management Case" series. Olivia Chason and Gabrielle Khoury, coached by Marketing Professor Jim Stoddard, competed in the Sales Management Case competition. Matt Mullen and Alex Friends, coached by Marketing Professor Bonnie Guy, competed in the Sales Call Role Play competition. Trey Hemphill served as alternate and coaching assistant.

The ICSC aims to enhance the selling profession by encouraging the development of critical skills needed by today's collegiate sales graduates in a fun competitive environment and where companies can meet the nation's top collegiate sales talent all in one place.

This is the third year that Appalachian has competed in the ICSC.
