MBA Alumni Highlight: Cinthia Lehner

Cinthia Lehner graduated from Appalachian State University's MBA program with a concentration in management in 2015. Since then, she has benefited from her Appalachian experience many times over.

After graduation, Lehner began her career with Bertrandt — an international industrial design services company. Based in Greenville, SC, Lehner has received three promotions in two years and now serves as a module quality engineer. In this role, Lehner steers the overall quality of interior parts for current and launch X3 and X4 models at BMW Manufacturing.

During her time as a student in the MBA program, Lehner completed an international practicum with Volkswagen AG at the headquarters in Germany, which further built the foundation for her successful career in automotive management.

As an Appalachian MBA student, Lehner developed the leadership skills needed to succeed in a fast-paced environment while handling the pressures and high demands of the premium automotive industry. The international experience and exposure she experienced at Appalachian helped give her the skills to handle a global work load.

"I can only thank the program and faculty for my current career success," said Lehner. "My Appalachian MBA has given me a competitive edge, and I look forward to what future doors will open thanks to the program. "
