MBA Alumni Highlight: Farrahn Wood

Farrahn Wood '16 is a human resources generalist for Gilbarco Veeder Root, the global leader of integrated technology solutions in the retail petroleum and commercial fueling industries. She is currently supporting the service function within Gilbarco, which includes 220 people, and is heavily involved in university recruiting efforts.

A native of Kernersville, NC, Farrahn attended Appalachian State University, where she received her BSBA in Marketing and MBA in Supply Chain Management. She also played on the varsity women's basketball team while completing both degrees within four years.

Farrahn's competitive nature pushes her to continuously improve and drive for positive change within the dynamic environment at Gilbarco Veeder Root. She attributes her success to Appalachian's strong business curriculum as well as the business faculty and staff team.

Outside of work, Farrahn continues her passion for basketball, serving as assistant coach at Page High School in Greensboro, NC.
