MBA Alumni Highlight: Helene Bergeman

Helene Bergeman ’11 is a Strategic IT Project Manager for Siemens Energy, Inc., in global ERP systems within Mergers and Acquisitions.

Siemens is a global powerhouse focusing on the areas of electrification, automation and digitalization. One of the world's largest producers of energy-efficient, resource-saving technologies, Siemens is a leading supplier of systems for power generation and transmission as well as medical diagnosis.

Helene completed her B.S. undergraduate degrees in MIS and Industrial Operations Management at UNC Charlotte. She completed her MBA from Appalachian in the off-campus program located in Hickory, while working full-time and parenting 3 small children. It was during this period that she discovered a special knack for effective time management and project planning. She went on to receive PMI certifications in both PMP and ACP.

Helene currently resides in Matthews, NC where she participates in Toastmasters, enjoys outdoor activities, and is a supportive band mom to her Butler High School Marching Bulldog.
