Katie Ann Henderson ‘10 is the Marketing Director at Pathfinder Wealth Consulting, an independent financial planning and investment management firm in Wilmington, North Carolina.

A native of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, Katie is a two-time graduate of Appalachian State University, receiving her BS in Psychology in 2009 and her MBA in 2010.

Katie started her professional career at a creative marketing firm in Portland, Oregon and over the next few years developed a specialty in strategic marketing in the financial industry.  She has always been drawn to communicating with mass audiences to present ideas in an insightful and informative way.  Katie is enthusiastic about adding life and growth to small businesses, an interest that first sparked during her time in the MBA program. Her excitement about working on projects with students from various educational backgrounds during her time at Appalachian State directly corresponds to the cross-department collaboration she experiences in her professional career.

In her free time, Katie enjoys running new trails, racing ultramarathons, spending time outdoors with her rescue pup Ridley, and when the notion strikes her, working on her first novel.
