MBA Alumni Highlight: Melody Wilson

Melody Wilson ’17 is a Credit Services Supervisor at CommScope, a leading provider of network infrastructure solutions to help companies around the world. In this role, Melody helps build and manage wired and wireless networks.

Melody attended Gardner-Webb University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Business. In 2017, she graduated from Appalachian State University, where she received her MBA in Interdisciplinary Business.

While completing her graduate studies, Melody successfully spearheaded dynamic company acquisition projects, technology implementations, and cost reduction strategies. She attributes her success to Appalachian’s strong business curriculum and hands on coursework while enrolled in the MBA program.

A native of Hickory, NC, Melody is an active member of her community. She is involved in the Council on Adolescents of Catawba County Lunch Buddy program and continues professional development by participating in Leadership Catawba.
