MBA Alumni Highlight: Shannon Creighton

Shannon Creighton '04, '12 is the MBA director at Limestone College, a private four-year, coeducational liberal arts college located in Gaffney, SC.

A native of Bessemer City, NC, Shannon graduated from Appalachian State Univeristy with a BSBA in Management and Marketing and then earned his MBA and MA in Higher Education Administration.

Shannon previously served as an assistant director in the Office of Student Financial Aid at Appalachian and in a myriad of roles at the Walker College of Business. He served as an MBA Program graduate assistant, lecturer and undergraduate assessment coordinator, faculty advisor for the International Business Student Association, a short-term study abroad trip leader, and co-chair of the Diversity Advisory Team. In fact, Shannon attributes his continued success to the faculty and administration in the Walker College of Business.

Shannon is currently completing his DBA in International Business from Walden University with the dissertation topic, "Reducing Risk from Workplace Discrimination."  Shannon is an active member of the Spartanburg, SC community through his involvement with the mission committee at Trinity United Methodist Church.
