MBA Alumni Highlight: Zak Ammar

Zak Ammar ‘16 is the Founder and CEO of Vixster LLC, a waste and recycling collection service that serves hundreds of customers in the High Country of North Carolina. Zak founded the company in February of 2016 after noticing the need for more trash and recycling services in the area. In his role as Founder and CEO, Zak is responsible for and executes all of Vixster’s core business functions.

Zak received his MBA from Appalachian State University with a concentration in Supply Chain Management. His skill set includes leadership, financial analysis, logistics, sales and project management. Zak’s passion and vision is to revolutionize the waste and recycling industry and to reduce the overall amount of recyclable material in our landfills. Apart from Vixter, he enjoys spending time with family, playing music, cooking, and raising chickens.
