Adam Greer, an MBA student in the Walker College of Business is one of three Appalachian State University students who have won the John Barry CPA fall scholarship competition.
Greer's entry in the contest earned him second place and a scholarship award of $150. Tiffany Rush earned first place and a $250 scholarship, and Hayley Behm won third place and a scholarship of $100.
The three were among those who entered the competition on Facebook, where each contestant submitted a paragraph about what they hoped to achieve with their Appalachian degree and what they most enjoy about studying in Boone.
Greer earned his bachelor's degree in business management from Appalachian in 2017 and is now completing his MBA with a concentration in business analytics. He is a member of the Executive Impact Club at Appalachian and is working toward both a BB&T Leadership Certification and a SAS certificate prior to graduation.
