Business Leaders magazine is produced and published annually by the Walker College of Business Dean's Office for Appalachian State University's business alumni, faculty, staff and friends.
The 2018 magazine features stories on: Appalachian's 'How' Space, which now provides a forum for students to collaborate across disciplines and solve complex world problems for industry partners; as well as profiles on Walker College students and faculty members including graduate student Daniel Emery, who shows how new degree offerings draw students to Boone; accounting major Maheder Yohannes, who earned her U.S. citizenship and is giving back to children learning in Ethiopia; sustainable business professor Jim Westerman, who operates his home at net-positive energy with solar power; and freshman Jackson Barbee is an innovative student receiving expert advice resulting in reaching new heights.
