According to a recent article in the Appalachian by Haley DiFruscio, sophomore international business major Yauri Hatcher will serve as Appalachian State University's 2026-27 student body vice president.
Hatcher, along with running mate and president-elect Elizabeth Ford, a junior political science major, aims to connect transfer students with the rest of the student body, push for more mental health resources, support student organizations and unite students.
