NYSE head of ESG to headline Sept. 23 Business for Good Conference

Brian Matt, head of the New York Stock Exchange's Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance Advisory, will headline Appalachian State University's Business for Good conference on Friday, September 23.

Matt will speak via teleconference to  participants on campus, who will also hear onsite from Jordan Feigh, Sustainability and Product Stewardship Manager at Unifi Manufacturing Inc., and Michael Winters, President and Chief Revenue Officer at WinCup.

The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Parkway Ballroom of the Plemmons Student Union and will conclude by 1:00 p.m. Registrants can expect refreshments and lunch.

Brian Matt

Brian C. Matt, CFA, Head of ESG Advisory for the New York Stock Exchange, is responsible for the NYSE’s relationship with its listed companies with respect to their progress on ESG. He has more than 20 years of experience in working with corporate investor relations teams to help them craft and deliver their investment stories. Previously, Matt was head of ESG for Americas for IHS Markit’s Issuer Solutions group and led the buildout of a product suite helping companies to evaluate their ESG disclosures and engage with stakeholders. He has also served as Global Head of Strategy & Innovation, as well as led the buildout of various corporate IR-focused products including investor targeting, situational analytics, and corporate governance / shareholder engagement platforms, for Ipreo. Matt is based in New York and is a CFA charterholder.

Jordan Feigh

Jordan Feigh is the Sustainability and Product Stewardship Manager at Unifi Manufacturing Inc., a global leader in performance fibers including REPREVE®. Made from post-consumer and industrial waste, REPREVE® is the sustainable fiber of choice globally. In this capacity, Feigh is responsible for the development and implementation of Unifi’s sustainability strategy. Additionally Feigh manages customer product stewardship needs. Prior to this role, Feigh served as the Quality Assurance Manager for Unifi’s REPREVE® Recycling Center. Feigh's extensive knowledge of REPREVE® production allows her to further promote Unifi’s mission to work today for the good of tomorrow. Feigh holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech.

Michael Winters

WinCup President and Chief Revenue Officer Michael Winters will also speak. Based in Stone Mountain, GA, WinCup is a leading manufacturer of disposable polystyrene cups, bowls, containers, straws and lids.
