Phi Kappa Tau and Pi Sigma Epsilon host A-Glazing Race

Donut RunningWhile Pi Sigma Epsilon's mission is to develop the sales and marketing skills of its members through lifelong opportunities, they club also strive to give back to the local community through fundraisers and other opportunities. As part of these efforts Appalachian State University chapters of Phi Kappa Tau and Pi Sigma Epsilon will be hosting the first A-Glazing Race 5K  on Saturday, March 19 at 10:00am.

The A-Glazing Race is a 5K fundraiser supporting SeriousFun Children's Network, and the Boone event will take place at the Greenway Trail.

 

Unlike any normal 5Ks, during this race runners will be given the option of eating a dozen or a half dozen doughnuts halfway through their run.  Prizes will then be awarded to individuals who finish first, second and third. 

Seventy-five precent of the proceeds from the event will be going to SeriousFun Children's Network. while 25% will be going to Pi Sigma Epsilon.

Register at the Plemmons Student Union from 9:00am-3:00pm or in Peacock Hall from 10:00am-2:00pm through March 18. The price for runners who will be eating a dozen doughnuts is $25 and $20 for runners who will be eating a half dozen doughnuts. The first 100 people to sign up will recieve a free tshirt for the event.
