Pipes named global and civic engagement specialist for Walker College of Business

Meredith Church Pipes has been named global and civic engagement specialist for the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University.

Pipes, who formerly served as the college's international programs coordinator, assumed her new role on July 1, 2017.

Pipes  will continue to work closely with Martin Meznar, Associate Dean for Global and Civic Engagement, to primarily support international programs, with additional support of sustainability and diversity intiatives in the Walker College. Sheri Lawrence will provide support for the team.

The college’s strategic plan, adopted by college faculty in May 2017 to guide the business school through 2022, lists global learning, diversity and sustainability among its eight core values.
