Dr. Lakshmi Iyer, Appalachian State University Professor of Computer Information Systems, was a speaker on July 17, 2020, as part of Sage University Indore's International Faculty Development Program (FDP). Iyer, who serves as the director of Appalachian's Master of Science in Applied Data Analytics Program, spoke on "Business Analytics Future Directions & Research Avenues" for the FDP which focused on Business Education and Pedagogy: Dimensions & Future. She addressed students, teachers, researchers, and industry professionals alongside co-presenting professors from SAGE, the Private University of Applied Sciences PFH, and the Indian Institute of Management, among others.
The program focused on how business practices are rapidly changing due to exponential technologies like analytics, data science, artificial intelligence, robotic automation, and blockchain.
